Christmas: the Modern Guilt

Okay so… I know that everyone likes preparing for Christmas in August.

I am so not good a this, because the year I bought everything in advance I misplaced all my gifts.

So, I still need to shop… but when I go to stores and see countdown clocks I feel a bit like this:

Nice Pee Wee placement, right?

Am I the only one who really dislikes countdowns to holidays? I mean they make me so nervous:

Celebrate Viciously Sweet’s New Edition

Okay so it isn’t often that Viciously Sweet grows in membership, mostly because it’s not like the Mickey Mouse Club.

But now there is a man in Viciously Sweet, and that man is a true professional.

Yes, Eric.

To celebrate he did this:

and he did it well.

He’s also celebrating his new biography. All of which you can read here:

Besides being the most treasured professional in all of the San Gabriel Valley; Eric is also a huge fan of musicals, Disney and anything “Savage Garden”. He believes the most influential television character since the creation of television is Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster and Jimmy Kimmel. Eric was blessed with the uncanny ability to perform the entire soundtrack of “Beauty and the Beast” by himself. Eric discovered that he became viciously sweet after an incident that involved a bottle of tapatio, Lady Gaga, The Men’s foundation, and the song “Poison” by Bel Biv Devoe. He is the only person in history to own every “Now that’s What I call Music” and Hanson album… Mmm  bop? Eric has also been reported to be the most sincere love of talk show giant Oprah Winfrey.

 niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

It’s the time of the season… for sweater vests

Not only is it the time of the year for sweaters… but if you are one of the select lads who look really good in a sweater vest I suggest slapping one on.

If you need any sweater vest style advice I’d look to the following peeps:

Joseph Gordon Levitt can really wear a sweater vest, he is like the lord of sweater vests in (500) days of summer:

Mr. Schwartzman cand handle the implications of sweaters… without sleeves:

River’s Cuomo is like the definition of sweater vest:

Ellen Degeneres is looking pretty swift in her vest too!

Even Michael Jackson has sweater vested:

And also this bunny was made for a sweater vest:

And just in case you are still not sold on the sweater vest… have a gander of Johnny Depp in one:

So why don’t you give it a try:

So I suggest to all… wear a sweater vest especially if your arms are much warmer than your torso.

Glee: “Vitamin D” & Doe-Eyed Fashions

Episode 6 “Vitamin D” Fashion Recap!

This week after watching glee I felt a lot like this:

But, before I carry on about the happy drug faces seen through out this episode, let’s share Emma’s wicked fashion this week.

As usual Emma’s clothes don’t dissapoint!

Here she is removing mustard from Mr. Shue’s chin… check her green skirt!

She makes the best “celebrity judge” for the glee kids:

If you totally like the skirt like I do it’s Anna Sui at Antrhopologie… but their site says it’s no longer available.

On a positive and equally yellow note…

I think her fashion sense may be rubbing off on the girls:

Wouldn’t it be nice if they started a fashion club?

SPOILER! SPOILER!

This is a cute blue boatneck shirt, this is not exactly a spoiler…

BUT this is:

This not cute engagement ring is the spoiler!

OMG!

But now back to bow week!!!

Here’s Emma in her Dolphin Shirt and Coral skirt; it’s a great retro, yet bow filled number.

And just in case you had too much bow…

here she is in ruffles, and a coral skirt:

I love how she accents everything with yellow. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Hi My Name is Jimmy!

Today’s Jimmy doodle is Jimmy themed!

“Say What?”

Tis true dear friend, today’s Jimmy is Bubble Boy… and if you recall from Jake Gyllenhaal’s classic boy in a pastic bubble tale.

I could see Jimmy Bounding down the streets without a care in the world, or an immunity in his system.

Isn’t it wonderful?

Are they seriously going to laugh?

Another post about Carrie.

Jimmy & I are unsure if Carrie imagined the people in the gym laughing at her, or if it’s her crazy Jesus filled imagination… or is it because her dirty pillows are showing???

But seriously laughing at someone in pig blood will so  get you in trouble with Jesus… who doesn’t like nerds covered in pigs blood as a joke.

This time the doodle subject is me… because I don’t mind being the butt of the joke… why do doodles of me resemble Lisa Loeb?

Jimmy’s Halloween Legacy

This edition of Jimmy doodles kicks us into the Halloween season!

Even though Jimmy’s house has been decorated since late August… this is Viciously Sweet’s parlay into the season.

Which is a totally rad season! And it is nothing without classic Halloween movies!!!! One of our favorites is “Carrie” which although has a terrifying Stephen King plot…. it’s kinda silly.

I mean pouring pig blood over a nerd with telekinesis… is not very nice (also this can be a very rare coincidence). But the real star of the movie is her mother who is both creepy & funny… oh the religious loonies.

enjoy Jimmy & “Carrie”:

Happy Halloween Time!

And remember in the words of Carrie’s mother “They’re all going to laugh at you”

Glee: the Fashion Club

It is incredibly obvious that I like “glee.”

Which has lured me with it’s “Bring it On” meets “Miss Guided” meets “Grease” plot…

Not just because the whole office is still singing “Single Ladies” or because I have been listening to Montell Jordan “This is How we do it” on repeat.

Nor is it because I want a button that says “gleek”

But because I cannot get enough of OCD(elicious) Emma Pillsbury played by the adorable Jayma Mays…

She’s the most adorable guidance counselor since… well, “Miss Guided’s” Ms. Perky… she is also in love with the Spanish teacher/Glee Coach Will.

hmm the parallels :)

But I digress

She really does.

And I adore her Mod-Preppy Chic-ness. It’s very “That Girl”.

She wears pretty much every color…

And she wears it well:

Green!

Purple!

Brown!

Yellow!

Her preppy adorable-ness makes her one of the hippest teachers at this Ohio High school. I could just imagine the immaculate closet of rainbow colors she must have! I wonder how many sweaters she owns????

and her lonely sweater is J-crew tastic…

I must also make this comment about her wicked cute accessories:

She may as well start her own Fashion Club… watch out Will:

But I know some people object to her cuteness due to her ulterior Will motives…So although she may have ♥’s for a married man most people can agree:

also…

Anyone want to go shopping for some cute clothes???

Mr. Roger’s White House Connection

I must say that I don’t really care which way about President Obama talking to children…

the children will find out who he is eventually.

But the whole things reminds me of Mr. Rogers neighborhood. And I am really sad he didn’t make his speech dressed like Fred Rogers. Because cardigan sweaters put children to ease.

So do puppets… but I bet that silly Joe Biden didn’t want to be Mr McFeely.

Now let’s never speak of politics again.

Bob Saget & Underwear

There are many things in life I have never wanted to experience…

Post “Full House” Bob Saget… not being Danny Tanner while holding underwear is on the top of that list.

Be warned that further on this page this graphic image will be shown…

But first here’s an approved Bob Saget:

Here is an unapproved Bob Saget:

The annoyance

I like when people enjoy my blogs. I don’t like when people spam my blogs.

I would like the world to know I am not interested in the following

1. gibberish- do not “kjofiwemeorj28347ls” me

2. Advertisements for weapons- I don’t need a machete, or sickle, or bow and arrow

3. People who push “21 Guns” as a good song

4. Anything about man parts… don’t have any of my own thanks

Thank you for your time.

Hot Dog: a Summer Mystery

Okay yeah I know this is a weird postie.

But here I will reveal some inner truths about myself. As most people know I’m an avid chicken fan, and fan of Dr. Pepper…

But I will tell you what I am not a fan of… a nasty summer treat we call… Hot Dogs. Sorry Oscar Mayer you may want to turn away.

Now, I don’t mind the occasional delicious hot dog. Seriously but I’m not going to munch away on anything that looks like this:

SO GROSS.

SO GROSS.

Seriously. And I totally like crispy burnt food. But not meat rods that had been severely toasted, never going to eat it.

And for easy reference on how much hot dogs gross me out… Isabel this is on par with sticky floors…

I don’t dislike every type of hot dog, for example I do share different feelings about corn dogs… ESPECIALLY WITH MUSTARD:

remember this at times when you barbeque… do you always have more hot dogs left over than hamburgers… there is a reason.

The Movie I want to see: 500 Days of Summer

This is the movie I want to see this summer.

The first time I saw this trailer. I initially thought, “Summer is evil”. How can she do this to poor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He’s the small lad from “10 things I hate about you” who “Pined and Perished” for Bianca Stratford.

And then I realized I can totally relate to Summer. Things do happen and then you should cut your losses and go on. We are young, and I am not a marm. If things suck, staying will only make things worse. And I know I may regret saying this someday, but screw it. That is how I feel right now.

And a story about love seems better than a love story.

———♥———

Also I love how they filmed in LA and didn’t make it a joke. I actually do love Los Angeles and once you get off of Hollywood Blvd. we are real people. We have bikes, and dogs, and 78% of us even have souls. Just like the rest of the world. We may not have the most structurally lush skyline like most major cities, but we have our funky good times.

And we have awesome food, music, and vintage clothing stores.

Also this made me laugh because it sounds like Jimmy and I talking… this is what we talk about. Just in case you ever wondered.

Benny & Joon

Hulu.com posted this movie.. I suppose to show people the Johnny Depp has been in more than movies about Pirates.

In this awesome early 1990’s movie Johnny Depp plays an eccentric man who falls in love with Joon a mentally ill girl. This is like his first incredibly fascinating role… not dissing 21 Jump Street, or Nightmare on Elm Street. But Sam (Depp’s Character) is quite hilarious and brilliant, also he has that Charlie Chaplin thaaang going on.

This is also one of my favorite movies (note: I did not get it at Best Buy, it’s probably too old for them to sell)

http://www.hulu.com/watch/77603/benny-and-joon

favorite line “Some cultures are defined by their relationship to cheese.”

Here’s Johnny’s relationship to cheese:

Happy July time
